About Us

The Cultural Competence Committee is a group of graduate students, interns, postdocs, faculty and staff within the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology that aims to (1) educate about the social, cultural and linguistic needs of all patients and to (2) prepare the next generation of psychologists to provide the most effective and the highest quality of culturally competent research, service and teaching.

We move towards those aims by creating a monthly department wide colloquium that focuses on topics that advance our knowledge and skill in the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds.
