Biography
Mallory Netz, M.S., is a fourth year graduate student in the Pediatric Behavioral Health Lab. She attended the University of Nebraska – Lincoln (UNL) where she received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with minors in Chemistry and Humanities in Medicine. There, she completed a senior thesis entitled ‘Social Goals and the Context Information Processing: A New Coding Scheme for Open-Ended Descriptions of Goals among Children in Early Elementary School.’ Following graduation, Mallory worked as a Research Assistant in the Developmental Cognitive Neuroscience Lab at UNL. Mallory is in the Clinical Child and Pediatric Psychology track, where she works as a Graduate Research Assistant under the mentorship of Dr. David Fedele.
Research Focus
Mallory’s primary research interests include pediatric pulmonary and allergic diseases, health communication, and family disease management. She is currently working on her dissertation examining how caregiver distress and disease management impacts health communication among youth with food allergy. Her master’s thesis examined self-management behaviors among emerging adolescents with asthma and their caregivers
