Maia Feigon, M.A.

FeigonBiography

Maia is a current neuropsychology intern in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology at the University of Florida. She received her B.A. from the University of Chicago with a major in political science before becoming interested in psychology after college.  Maia is completing her doctoral training in clinical and rehabilitation psychology under the mentorship of Dr. Eun-Jeong Lee at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, IL.

Research Focus

Maia’s area of research focuses on the relationship between insight and activities of daily living in individuals with cognitive impairment.  Specifically, she is interested in the relationship between cognitive impairment and insight.  For her dissertation, Maia is examining the role of self-awareness in cognitive impairment and quality of life in individuals with sickle cell disease.
