Natalie Koskela-Staples, M.S., has received the APA Division 54 Marion and Donald Routh Research Grant to fund her dissertation study: “Association between parent-child communication patterns and pediatric asthma outcomes: A mixed methods study.” This $5,000 grant is designed to enable a student member of the Society of Pediatric Psychology to pursue research scholarship. This study will use an explanatory sequential two-phase mixed-methods design to assess established family communication patterns among adolescents with asthma and their caregivers, as well as examine the relationship between these patterns and asthma-related self-management behaviors and outcomes.
Congratulations Natalie and best wishes on your dissertation!
