Doctoral Student, Leslie Gaynor, receives APF/COGDOP Graduate Student Research Scholarship

Leslie GaynorLeslie Gaynor was recently awarded a 2019 American Psychological Foundation/Council of Graduate Departments of Psychology (APF/COGDOP) Graduate Student Research Scholarship for her dissertation research project, titled Examining a Novel Cognitive Biomarker of Alzheimer’s Disease and Associated Brain Biomarkers of Early Disease. Leslie is being awarded $2,000 in support of her dissertation research.

Leslie is mentored by Dr. Russell M. Bauer. Her dissertation research project involves the examination of a novel translational cognitive assessment collected as part of the clinical core of the 1Florida Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (1Florida ADRC). She is interested in determining whether structural and functional imaging markers mediate the relationship between clinical diagnosis and cognitive functioning.
