An amazing team of talents from the CHP’s Neuropsychology and Structural NeuroImaging Laboratory, led by Principal Investigator, Dr. Catherine Price, with colleagues in anesthesiology are presenting at the International Anesthesia Research Society in Chicago, April 28 – May 1, 2018.
Highlights include:
- 10 full moderated posters (2 of which are award finalists!)
- A 3 hour workshop teaching perioperative cognitive techniques to anesthesiologists with 20 minute round table discussions (involving all of the amazing students and coordinators listed below as well as neuropsychology colleagues Dr. Tania Giovannetti from Temple University and Dr. Melissa Lamar from Rush University)
- A review panel on “Dementia Considerations for Anesthesiologists” with Dr. Brenda Fahy from UF’s Department of Anesthesiology
- A panel on “My patient has memory problems: now what?” with colleagues from Harvard, Duke, and Mount Sinai.
Congratulations to this team for tackling the important topic of brain and cognitive health around the time period of surgical procedures. Truly impressive!
