Doctoral Student selected as Abstract Awards Finalist at the IARS 2018 Annual Meeting

dionDion and team selected as Kosaka Best of Meeting Abstract Awards Finalist at the International Anesthesia Research Society (IARS) 2018 Annual Meeting and International Science Symposium, April 28 – May 1, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, in Chicago, Illinois.   Catherine Dion’s research , “Cognitive Associates of the Digital Clock Drawing Test in Older Adults: Total Clock Time and Pre-First Hand Latency addresses the validity of a digital tool for assessing cognition and memory in older adults and its potential value as a tool for assessing cognitive abilities in a preoperative environment.  The Kosaka Best of Meeting Session is a two hour session where the top 30 abstract authors in Clinical Research, Basic Science, and Scholar Abstract categories will display their poster.  This work was selected for its scientific merit in Scholars.  Catherine is a graduate student with a specialty focus on neuropsychology and is funded by NIH and NSF investigations studying digital technology and cognition.  She graduated from University Of Illinois At Chicago, Chicago , IL in  2014 and completed 3 years of post-baccalaureate training before joining Dr. Price’s laboratory.
