Alicia Roth, M.A. receives 2014 Senior Care Innovation Scholarship

Alicia Roth, M.A. has been named a recipient of the 2014 Senior Care Innovation Scholarship, awarded to students developing innovative research and care strategies for America’s “Silver Tsunami” of aging Baby Boomers. Her essay describing the development of a cognitive behavioral treatment for insomnia for caregivers of persons with dementia that utilizes in-home monitoring technology, Skype, and other tele-health approaches was awarded one of five $1000 scholarships. The award was sponsored by A Place For Mom, a company that provides resources and support for families needing assistance in finding care and living options for elderly parents or loved ones.  Alicia is a fourth year graduate student mentored by Dr. Christina McCrae.
