Kelsey Thomas, MS, and Jacob Jones, M.S., receive competitive scholarships from UC-Davis and U. Washington, to attend the 2014 NIH-funded Friday Harbor workshop on Advanced Psychometric Methods in Cognitive Aging. This 5 day “hands on” workshop encourages manuscript development among leaders in the field and early stage investigators via use of large scale longitudinal data sets from cognitive aging samples (i.e., Seattle Longitudinal Project, ACTIVE, etc.). Kelsey and Jacob were the only graduate student participants in this year’s highly select workshop. Both are doctoral students in the neuropsychology track, mentored by Drs. Dawn Bowers (Jones) and Michael Marsiske (Thomas).
