Marissa Gowey, M.S. and Casey Lawless, B.S. both received poster awards at the Society of Pediatric Psychology Annual Conference

photoMarissa’s poster, Health Weight Control Behaviors Associated with Higher Quality of Life in a Rural Sample of Overweight Youth, was one of only 10 posters to be selected for a Division 54 Outstanding Student Poster Award. Casey’s poster, Acculturative Stress, Self-Efficacy for Asthma Management, and Depressive Symptoms in Latinos, earned an Outstanding Poster Award from the society’s diversity special interest group. Both Marissa and Casey received $100 in honor of their accomplishment.
