Eugene Dunne, M.A. and Lauren Hearn, B.S. win NIDA Travel Awards at CPDD
Congratulations to CHP students Eugene Dunne, M.A. and Lauren Hearn, B.S. who each won a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Women and Sex/Gender Differences Research Junior Travel Award at the College on Problems of Drug Dependence held in June in San Diego, CA.
Eugene Dunne, M.A. and Lauren Hearn, B.S., are first year graduate students in Clinical and Health Psychology. Eugene is a member of Dr. William Latimer’s research lab, and Lauren is mentored by Dr. Nicole Ennis Whitehead. Eugene gave an oral presentation on the HIV risk among women who trade sex for drugs only. Lauren presented a poster on the protective effects of a committed partner on HIV risk behaviors among women released from incarceration.
