Janet previously worked in the Department of Health Outcomes and Policy with the College of Medicine part-time performing human resources and receptionist duties. Prior to her employment at UF, she worked for the federal government as a loan specialist for 31 years.

Hiring Teams, OPS, GAs, Interns, Foreign National students, and Post-Doctoral Associates
Reviewing and approving time
Completing Volunteer forms
Requesting IT Access for students and staff
Answering HR questions that arise
Assisting in interviewing applicants
Preparing Letters of Offer

Fiscal Assistant II
Responsible for the department’s fiscal processing related to travel (faculty, staff, students and visitor) and purchasing (office supplies, name plates, business cards, etc.)
Research Participant Mileage Reimbursements.
Maintains maintenance and repair of office equipment: phones, copier, printers.
Manages department inventory: electronic equipment (computers/laptops), phone lines/ports.

Melissa Naidu, MAE
Academic Specialist I
Melissa has been at the University of Florida since 2003. In 2006, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and earned a Master of Arts in Education in 2013. She has a total of 12 years of experience in graduate, undergraduate and online student affairs from the UF Admissions Office, Levin College of Law, and Department of Health Education and Behavior and also served as a Research Coordinator in the Department of Health Outcomes and Policy for two years before coming to the Department of Clinical Health and Psychology. In her free time, Melissa enjoys reading, listening to podcasts and audiobooks, and spending time with her son.
Manages student registration, degree certification, student petitions and, Academic Activities Reporting.
Maintains verification and updates in student database system.
Processes electronic LOA’s and tuition waivers for graduate students.
Oversees semester grade submission and entry.
Manages semester faculty evaluation reports.
Processes graduate faculty status requests and student committee appointments.
Coordinates recruitment and admissions for doctoral and internship programs.
