Sara Voorhees, M.S.

VoorheesBiography

Sara is a first year graduate student in the department of clinical and health psychology. She graduated from Tulane University with a BS in psychology, where she worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the Translational Psychological Science Laboratory. Her main research project investigated social support preferences among patients with cancer. Sara earned her MS in psychology from Drexel University where she worked as a graduate research assistant in the Nezu Stress and Coping Laboratory. Her master’s thesis project examined psychological predictors of medication adherence in adult patients with asthma.

Research Focus

Sara is currently a member of the Pediatric Behavioral Health Laboratory, primarily mentored by Dr. David Fedele. Her research interests include self-management behaviors and family adjustment to pediatric chronic illness, particularly food allergy and asthma.
