Leslie Gaynor, B.A., B.S.

Gaynor

Biography

Leslie Gaynor is a graduate student at the University of Florida (UF) in the Department of Clinical and Health Psychology. Leslie graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in 2015 with a dual degree in Interdisciplinary Studies of Neurobiological Sciences and English. Leslie is currently in the Clinical Neuroscience and Neuropsychology track, where she works under the mentorship of Dr. Russell M. Bauer.

Research Focus

Leslie’s primary research interests include Alzheimer’s disease, aging, biomarkers of dementia, and the development of novel assessment. Leslie also has secondary interests in comparative neuropsychology, animal behavior, and behavioral neuroscience. Leslie hopes to focus her master’s thesis on early detection of dementia through the development of more sensitive measures of cognitive impairment.
