Lena Polejaeva, B.S., is a first year graduate student in Clinical Psychology (Neuropsychology Track) at the University of Florida, and a graduate research assistant in the Clinical-Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory under the mentorship of Dr. William Perlstein. Lena graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2009 with a major in Psychology and a minor in Biology. After graduation, Lena worked as a Research Assistant/Study Coordinator at the Naval Medical Research Center as well as National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) within the National Institutes of Health(NIH).

Research Focus

Lena’s primary research interests include cognitive functioning across the lifespan, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), neurodegenerative disorders, and neurorehabilitation.
