Our department is an academic unit of the College of Public Health and Health Professions at the University of Florida, one of six colleges in the Health Science Center on the UF campus in Gainesville, FL.

Our Mission

The department of Clinical and Health Psychology educates tomorrow’s leaders in Psychology in the scientist-practitioner tradition, advances psychological science, and improves the health and quality of life of all people through excellence in Research, Education, and Health Service Delivery.

Our Vision

We endeavor to provide a environment that advances scholarship and the pursuit of knowledge while striving for excellence in both graduate education and training and the delivery of the highest quality of health care services. On a daily basis, we focus upon the integration of science and practice in all our activities. The faculty, staff, graduate students, interns, post doctoral fellows, and alumni of the Department seek to maintain and advance our State-wide, National and International reputation as a “Center of Excellence” in Psychological Science, Education, and Service Delivery.

Our Achievements

Our faculty and students are engaged in the production of scientific knowledge, educational and training outcomes, and leading-edge patient care. Data regarding scientific productivity, program completion (degrees conferred), grant awards, clinical service, national rankings, and honors and awards are useful measures of our productivity. We use these data to track our progress and to provide information regarding needed areas of development as we aspire to fully achieve our mission and vision.
