Incoming Chair Glenn E. Smith, PhD, will speak on the prevention of dementiaDr. Glenn Smith, PhD, has been asked to give a plenary address at the 2015 American Psychological Association (APA) in Toronto.  Set to occur on Friday 8/7/2015 at 3 pm, Dr. Smith’s talk is entitled “Can We Prevent Dementia?”

According to APA materials, “Newer dementia diagnostic criteria engender more opportunities for prevention. Behavioral interventions can limit cognitive and functional decline and enhance quality of life.  The session notes approaches to, and increasing evidence for, dementia prevention.”
